If you ever make it back this way you might want to try a jungle trek to El Mirador - rumor is it is 4X larger than Tikal! It was the New York City of the Mayan Empire - Tikal was sort of like Detroit ;)

And when you do get here, legend has it that if you swam in Lake Peten you will be back, stop by our place for a could refreshment of your choice - on the house. A favorite with our guests is our iced shots of Zacapa Centenario, the Best Rum in the World and made right here in Guatemala.
In response to: Drinking and Brewing Beer - Albuquerque Style

WOW! Carmen is a brew-meister! Way to
go! I am fantasizing about the SW
rather frequently lately, btw. Also,
I love the band OAR. Haven't heard the
poker song since Junior year.
In response to: Look everybody!! I'm featured in a Magazine!!!

2 things...

1) "I'm sure that it is the first time that pretty much all of you has ever seen me on a horse..."

- C'mon, back in the day I saw you riding a horse around the paddock at Prairie Meadows on "Family Day" while Johnny bet $1 quinellas on his simulcasted dog races while drinking free soda pop out of cheap white plastic cups.

2) "My name does appear in print as well..."

So, freaking Trail Rider magazine can get your name right, but the Des Moines Register can only come up with "an unidentified player"? Shocking!

to come back to Keystone for 2 more seasons.
You can have an option on next year, but
you have to be there for the '08-'09 season!

In response to: One Final Visit

Ryan,
I am so sorry to hear about your grandma. That was a
wonderful tribute you did to her. Let me tell you that
My Mom has sent your website to a lot of her friends
because she was so proud about that Farewell to the 90.
That, I think, was one of the things that she is most
proud of about me. No award or compliment can compete
with something like that coming from a true friend. My
Mom has printed out that article and it was on the
coffee table when I got here. She said she is going
to frame it. Thank you again for the kind things you
posted about me. Your Friend,

In response to: A Pitching Duel at Coors Field???

You didn't think you could post about major league parks without us did you?
Let's see:
Beautiful BlueJay Field.....oh wait.
Pro Player - I believe the Hawkman was
in attendance with the Bibguys.
Wrigley Field - On our honeymoon, of
course.
Miller Park - another Hawk vacation....worst accomadations yet. (Have we been to visit you since then?)
Metrodome - but does this even count?
Fenway Park - Bibguy visited this one..sans game though
That's all I got for now....rest of the quest is on hold until after the baby can dodge foul balls.

In response to: A Pitching Duel at Coors Field???

Guess what! I also went to a baseball game this week, a Phillies game. It was out-of-control. They also went to extra innings & we won't talk about the end, but the day was perfect--super warm (I was in a t-shirt without the goosebump accessories), a pumped up crowd, and baseball. Hope you are great!
